1. Who May Use the Yoop App
You may use the Services only if you accept this Agreement and, by doing so, form a binding contract with Yoop Tech Limited. In order to enter in such Agreement, you must not be a person barred from receiving services under the laws of the applicable jurisdiction. You must also be 16 years old or older. If you are younger than 16 years old, you do not have the right to enter into this Agreement and we ask you not to use Yoop. You may find it boring anyway.
You may accept these Agreement and use Yoop on behalf of a company, organization, government, or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you are authorised to do so.
3. Permitted content
Yoop is a platform where you can post and re-post links to third-party Content, such as news, blogs, videos and articles, and discover Content posted by other users. All media Content posted on Yoop, by way of rating it, must have been published on a third-party website or app and it must be lawfully accessible by the public. You are responsible for your use of the Yoop app and for any Content you share, by way of rating it, including compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. You should only rate Content that you are comfortable sharing with others.
You are not allowed to share the link to any of the following content:
- Commercial content: You may not share, by way of rating, information on any commercial product or services, such as: product reviews, service offers, service announcements, online or offline sales, and any other information of a clear and direct commercial nature.
- Graphic content: You may not share, by way of rating, pornographic or excessively violent media. Yoop may allow some forms of graphic content for the purpose of informing the public. But any content that crosses the line into gratuitous images of death, injuries or sex, will be reviewed and may be removed without notice.
- Unlawful use: You may not use our service for any unlawful purposes or in furtherance of illegal activities. International users agree to comply with all local laws regarding online conduct and acceptable content.
- Content protected by copyright: see section 4 below.
Should any content fall in the above categories, it may be removed from Yoop at our sole discretion. Any user that is repeatedly found to publish such content may be banned from using the platform, at our sole discretion. Any publisher that regularly publishes content in breach of these Terms may be blacklisted and its content may no longer be made shareable onto Yoop, at our sole discretion.
Any use or reliance on any Content or materials rated via Yoop or obtained by you through Yoop is at your own risk. We do not endorse, support, represent or guarantee the completeness, truthfulness, accuracy, or reliability of any Content or communications shared on the application, or endorse any opinions expressed in such content.
You understand that by using the Services, you may be exposed to Content that might be offensive, harmful, inaccurate or otherwise inappropriate, or in some cases, postings that have been mislabelled or are otherwise deceptive. We may not monitor or control all the Content rated via Yoop and we cannot take responsibility for such Content. We encourage you to report offensive, harmful, inappropriate or genuinely fake Content using Yoop reporting system.
Yoop is a platform where you can post and re-post links to third-party Content, such as news, blogs, videos and articles, and discover Content posted by other users. You are solely responsible for the Content you post on Yoop. Yoop does not host, alter or claim ownership of any such content.
The videos, articles and other Content made available on third-party websites may be protected by copyright and other applicable laws. Please refer to the website you were visiting when you saved such content for copyright notices, information and restrictions that may be applicable to such Content. Some Content may not be reproduced, used to prepare derivative works, distributed, performed publicly or displayed publicly without the written permission of the copyright holder, except to the extent allowed under the “fair dealing” provisions of the U.K. copyright laws, “fair use” provisions of the U.S. copyright laws, other limitations on exclusive copyrights in the relevant copyright laws, or comparable provisions of foreign laws.
You represent and agree that the Yoop application will be used solely for your personal and non-commercial use with respect to content of websites that you have the lawful right to access, and that the Yoop application will not be used in violation of the restrictions posted on the website where such content was published. Some websites include security measures designed to prevent access, and you agree not to take any steps to defeat any such security measures. We do not necessarily monitor any materials posted, transmitted, or saved to or with the Yoop app. By posting, sharing or saving any videos, articles or content, you represent that doing so does not infringe any third party’s copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights or other intellectual property or legal rights of any kind.
If notified that any user has posted, shared or saved any information or materials which allegedly do not conform to this Agreement, we may in our sole discretion investigate the allegation and determine whether to take any other actions, including, but not limited to, whether to remove or request the removal of the information or materials posted, shared or saved by a user. We also reserve the right to terminate the account of any user who transfers or saves content in violation of this Agreement. We shall have no liability or responsibility to users for performance or non-performance of such activities. You may be subject to civil and criminal penalties, including without limitation monetary damages, if you violate the terms of this Agreement or infringe any third party’s legal rights.

5. Third Party Websites and Services
The content available via the Yoop application include materials from non-affiliated third parties. The Yoop app also integrates, only at your request, with third-party software applications and services that enable you to share or save on Yoop within such third-party applications. We are not responsible for examining or evaluating any third-party content. You understand and agree that we do not warrant and shall not be liable for any third-party materials or websites. You also agree that you will not use any third-party content or materials in a manner that would infringe or violate the rights of any other party and that we are not in any way responsible for any such use by you.
6. Yoop ratings
The ratings shared by Yoop users are not endorsed or shared by Yoop Tech Limited. Yoop ratings represent the subjective opinion of our users, and cannot be entirely relied upon. Whilst we strive to ensure that all Yoop users have the opportunity to rate stories, ratings do not provide a comprehensive overview of public opinion on a given source. In fact, they are likely to represent only the opinion of a fraction of Yoop users. They should therefore be considered a partial representation of the opinion of some users.
The Company is not responsible for the content rated by Yoop users, however we will strive monitor that rated content complies with these Terms and will remove all inappropriate content as soon as we see it.
7. Using the Yoop app
You may use the Yoop app only in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws, rules and regulations. The Yoop app evolves constantly and, as such, it may change from time to time, at our discretion. We may stop (permanently or temporarily) providing any Yoop features to you or to users generally. We also retain the right to create limits on use and storage at our sole discretion at any time. We may also remove or refuse to distribute any Content on the Yoop app, suspend or terminate users, and reclaim usernames without liability to you.
In consideration for Yoop Tech Limited granting you access to and use of the Yoop app, you agree not to misuse Yoop, for example, by interfering with it or accessing it using a method other than the interface and the instructions that we provide. You may not do any of the following while accessing or using Yoop:
- access, tamper with, or use non-public areas of Yoop, Yoop’s computer systems, or technical delivery systems;
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network or breach or circumvent any security or authentication measures;
- access or search or attempt to access or search Yoop by any means (automated or otherwise) other than through our currently available, published interfaces that are provided by Yoop (and only pursuant to the applicable terms and conditions), unless you have been specifically allowed to do so in a separate agreement with Yoop Tech limited;
- forge any TCP/IP packet header or any part of the header information in any email or posting, or in any way use Yoop to send altered, deceptive or false source-identifying information; or
- interfere with, or disrupt, (or attempt to do so), the access of any user, host or network, including, without limitation, sending a virus, overloading, flooding, spamming, mail-bombing the Services, or by scripting the creation of Content in such a manner as to interfere with or create an undue burden on Yoop.
We also reserve the right to access, read, preserve, and disclose any information as we reasonably believe is necessary to
- satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request,
- enforce the Terms, including investigation of potential violations hereof, detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues, respond to user support requests, or
- protect the rights, property or safety of Yoop, its users and the public.
8. Yoop values
By using Yoop, you agree to share and uphold the values our community stands for: respect for the others, open mindedness, and honesty. Respect for the others means that you will be considered when sharing, by means of rating, content with other people – such as by avoiding rating content that breaches these terms. Open mindedness means that you will exercise your right to rate content with responsibility by looking at the attributes of the content itself. Honesty means that you will refrain from using Yoop rating as a way of publicising products or services, or otherwise using the Yoop app for commercial purposes.
Each and every Yoop user share a responsibility to keep Yoop a safe place to discover and understand information, in line with these values. By accepting this Agreement, you agree to play your part in keeping Yoop a safe and informative platform for users to discover informative and insightful stories:
- Only rate Content that complies with our content policy
- Report any Content that does not comply with this policy
- Report any Content that you genuinely think is fake
- Rate Content as objectively as you possibly can
- Refrain from creating multiple accounts to rate Content more than once
- Refrain from creating bots or other software to rate Content multiple times
9. Your User Account
You may need to create an account to use some of our Services. You are responsible for safeguarding your account, so use a strong password and limit its use to this account. We cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with the above.
You can control most communications from the Yoop app. We may need to provide you with certain communications, such as service announcements and administrative messages. These communications are considered part of these Terms and your account, and you may not be able to opt-out from receiving them. If you added your phone number to your account and you later change or deactivate that phone number, you must update your account information to help prevent us from communicating with anyone who acquires your old number.
10. Your License to Use Yoop
Yoop gives you a personal, worldwide, royalty-free, non-assignable and non-exclusive license to use the software provided to you as part of the Services. This license has the sole purpose of enabling you to use and enjoy the benefit of the Yoop app in the manner permitted by these Terms.
The Yoop app, including its name, logo, symbols and icons, other elements of the user interface and back-end technology, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United Kingdom and foreign countries. Nothing in the Terms gives you a right to use the Yoop name or any of the Yoop trademarks, logos, domain names, and other distinctive brand features. All right, title, and interest in and to Yoop (excluding Content provided by users) are and will remain the exclusive property of Yoop Tech Limited and its licensors. We welcome any feedback, comments, or suggestions you may provide regarding the Yoop app. However, such feedback, comments or suggestions are entirely voluntary and we will be free to use them as we see fit and without any obligation to you.
11. Ending this Agreement
You may end your legal agreement with Yoop Tech Limited at any time by deactivating your accounts and discontinuing your use of the Services. You can do so by clicking on Deactivate Account in the menu on the My Profile page.
We may suspend or terminate your account or cease providing you with all or part of the Services at any time for any or no reason, including, but not limited to, if we reasonably believe:
- you have violated these Terms;
- you create risk or possible legal exposure for us;
- your account should be removed due to unlawful conduct,
- your account should be removed due to prolonged inactivity; or
- our provision of the services to you is no longer commercially viable.
We will make reasonable efforts to notify you by the email address associated with your account or the next time you attempt to access your account, depending on the circumstances. In all such cases, the Terms shall terminate, including, without limitation, your license to use the Yoop app, except that the following sections 2, 4, 7 and 9 to shall continue to apply. If you believe your account was terminated in error you can contact us at support@Yoop.io.
12. Limitations of Liability
There are inherent risks in relying upon, using, or retrieving any information found on the internet, and we urge you to make sure you understand these risks before using the Yoop application or any website that provides you with access to the Yoop application. Your use of the Yoop application is at your own risk. Neither Yoop Tech Limited nor any of their employees, officers or directors, shall be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages (including, without limitation, loss of data or information of any kind, loss of business, lost profits, interruption of business, cost of cover or any other damages) arising out of or in any way related to this agreement or the use or inability to use the Yoop app, whether based on contract, tort, strict liability or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Please note that some jurisdictions may not allow the exclusion of certain damages, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.
We may revise the Terms of this Agreement from time to time. The changes will not be retroactive, and the most current version of the Terms, which will always be at www.Yoop.io/terms, will govern our relationship with you. Other than for changes addressing new functions or made for legal reasons, we will notify you 30 days in advance of making effective changes to these Terms that impact the rights or obligations of any party to these Terms, for example via a service notification or an email to the email associated with your account. By continuing to access or use the Yoop app after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.
In the event that any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, then that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in full force and effect. Yoop’s failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.
